Pictures of Free Centers

This week we are starting something new to help the students make good choices.  Instead of just getting three verbal warnings before they move their clip, now the students have three velcro stickers at their seat.  Whenever I give them a warning they have to give me a sticker. When they have had three warnings, and given me three stickers, they have to move their clip.  Then they get the three stickers back to start again before they have to move their clip to the next color.  This should give the students visual reminders before they have to change their clip.  Of course, for major offenses, such as hitting or kicking, they will just have to move their clip, instead of giving me a sticker.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this. 

Here are some pictures taken last Thursday during journal writing and free centers.  Some of the students were working on transportation puzzles, others were practicing writing or making boats and trucks out of shapes.
